Dolby HDR Video

Previously unattainable brightness and contrast levels that take HDTV displays to a whole new level - that’s Dolby® high-dynamic-range (HDR) video. You’ve heard the Dolby difference—now see it.

Compared to the images produced by LCD TVs, displays that incorporate Dolby HDR video technology demonstrate:

  • True blacks
  • Brilliant brights
  • Vivid, natural colors
  • Energy savings

Dolby offers two levels of HDR video technologies:

  • Dolby Contrast, with enhanced contrast, improved image quality, and energy savings.
  • Dolby Vision, which goes even further with higher brightness and more advanced high- dynamic-range image processing, providing the full dynamic range of contrast.

Televisions with Dolby HDR video technology will stand out in the tough retail environment, and Dolby’s reputation for high quality will help ensure that they continue to do so.

Dolby Contrast and Dolby Vision are available for licensing to our industry partners. We do not plan to manufacture TVs or video displays.
